COST: $5 FREE THROW-HOT SHOT, 3 POINT
PLUS REGISTRATION FEE OF $20 (total $25)
EVENT INFORMATION:
1. Participation is open to as many participants as register for the event.
2. There will be 3 separate events in the basketball skills competition:
a. Free Throw Contest - 25 shots per participant
b. Hot Shot Contest - each participant will have 1 minute to score as many points as possible form different spots on the floor. Each spot on the floor is worth a different amount of points.
c. Three Point Contest - each participant will shoot 4 balls from 5 different racks on the floor. Each ball is worth 1 point except for the final "money" ball in each rack; the final "money" ball in each rack is worth 2 points.
3. A cumulative score for the 3 events will be tallied for each participant and a gold, silver, and bronze medal will be awarded to the top participants in each age category.
4. Participants may shoot as many times as they want. Only non-marking shoes will be allowed in the gymnasium. medals will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. The participants will compete in the order they arrive at the competition and sign in at the registration desk.
5. A scorekeeper/timer will be provided for each participant. Participants will NOT keep their own scores.

EVENT INFORMATION: Since this is a new event added to the Mesquite Senior Games, we will offer singles, doubles, 3 person teams and 4 person teams. The breakdown will be determined by the number of participants.
Men and women can compete together in the Bocce events. Event planners will supply the balls, however if any participants have regulation Bocce Balls that measure 107 mm to 110 mm, please bring them.
We will be following USBF open rules (Volo will not be allowed). These rules can be found on www.Bocce.com, the official site of the United States Bocce Federation.
